Amelie is a sweet, funny French movie starring Audrey Tautou and a host of other interesting characters. People interested in dahn yoga may find this off-beat movie very entertaining as well as inspirational in a magical, imaginative sort of way. One can spend a lovely evening practicing dahn yoga exercises and watching movies such as Amelie.
Amelie works in a small cafe in Montmartre and her life is a rather solitary one. One day, she unexpectedly finds a hidden metal box in her apartment and thus begins her adventures to do good in the world. First, she tracks down the owner of the metal box, who had collected toys inside of it as a child and forgotten about it. Then, Amelie helps her neighbor, an elderly artist who lives by himself and has a bone disease which makes him very fragile.
Amelie also becomes a matchmaker for others in her life, while her own romantic feelings for a young man named Nino remain secret. Finally, Amelie learns that she must become braver and confront her own fears if she wants to get to know Nino. Amelie takes the advice of the elderly artist and finally meets with Nino in the end. It turns out that he is in love with her as well.
